So after seeing those, I thought I could take it one step further.add his concepts to the tracing, and try and update the GOT mod province map accordingly! Now, I was never particularly happy with the borders in the CKII mod.while I think they did an amazing job of bringing the GOT world to life, I thought the borders were a bit too simple (probably because I'd spent a lot of time modding maps of Europe which had insanely complex borders). Not long after that, I stumbled across this page where somebody took the same maps and traced over them to take a guess at the borders of the lands held by the lords in the series.

After finding that nobody had updated the borders anywhere, I decided to simply scan the maps and trace over them.took a while, but I did it, and managed to update the game for my friends.

It's here! Well, mostly.there's still a few areas that I haven't managed to find a canon name for just yet, and I might refine the borders further, but for now, I'm happy with this layout.Ī few weeks back I saw the huge book "The World of Ice and Fire" in a second hand shop, and since I was earning a decent amount of money, I decided to buy it regardless of the price, and I've been slowly working my way through it, since it's 300 pages long and it's effectively a history book, so, while fascinating, it's a lot of information to take in. While reading through it, though, I noticed that they'd included several new maps of the Seven Kingdoms, and that the borders shown here rendered those from the Game of Thrones mod (and the Westerisk! game I derived from that) incorrect.
